An endless series of tasks.

You know those stretches of time where you have a very firm list of things that need to get done and then all the other stuff that happens around said list (either to hinder or help), but the LIST is stuff that NEEDS to happen? Yeah, this week is one of those.
Upside, three things got done yesterday that needed doing. My jaw is now free of all baby teeth (RIP, T, u a real 1) and now I just need to heal up. Horray.
In a Wink update (which feels like all these entries are, ngl), I am both happy with and regretting her steroid regime. On the one hand, she feels pretty good. She's bouncier and more active than she's been in an age. HOWEVER. This means she's constantly hangry and stomps all over me constantly. I love her so much and I want to lock her in the bathroom. (Which I usually only do to give her and her sister times out from each other.)

I got about 2/3rds of what I needed to get done DONE over the weekend, but here we are. Today I'm getting a tooth pulled. Tomorrow? Therapy. Wednesday is day 1 of work retreat that I'm going to do my best to disassociate through. After I am getting dinner w/a friend and her fam. (Maybe?) Thursday is day 2: disassociation bugaloo. Friday I'm going to drink a lot of coffee and stare into the sun. Saturday is Birthday Shennanigans for M and probably All The Laundry Ever.
In other news, I borrowed Shaboozey's "Where I've Been, Isn't Where I'm Going" from the library and it was an excellent choice on my part. Weirdly, I'd not heard any of his stuff before, but rap/hip hop earnestly married to country/bluegrass is basically exactly my musical taste (see: my longterm enjoyment of Gangstagrass). I genuinely enjoy the whole album, but Horses & Hellcats, Last of My Kind, My Fault, Finally Over, and A Bar Song (Tipsy) are personal favorites. I think the only song that I'm kind of eh about is Anabelle, and it's mostly fine! Just doesn't pull my attention. I really do understand why A Bar Song (Tipsy) is so popular. It's a good, chill sing a long. But! If you've only heard that? I'd really recommend checking out the full album!

I gave up on the classic Teen Titans because the ‘hip’ lingo was too much. I lost all interest in New Teen Titans after George Perez left. Roy Harper put me off revisiting the Devin Grayson Titans by being a massive ass. Let’s hope I stick with this version for longer.

It's also related to perception, echoing the motifs of the two previous stories. We Are The Wounded concerned tactile feeling, and The Voice In The Tower was audial - it'd ended on the rejection and acceptance of guiding voices.
Pareidolia opens on the acknowledgement of another motif that occurred in those two stories: ' [Gotham City, y]ou have always suffered fires. '
( The acknowledger's Batman. )
